Board Member, Robert Sheppard, CPA

Rob Sheppard joined DDI’s Board of Directors in 2022 and serves on the organization's Audit Committee, Finance Committee and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Committee.  He is a financial professional and Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York with ten years of experience in both public and private accounting, with hands-on experience in a wide range of industries. Robert holds an MBA from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego, an AASCB-accredited school of business, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

He is currently the Director of Accounting at Slomin’s Inc., one of the Northeast’s largest home heating oil companies and one of the Nation’s largest home security companies.  During his career, he has gained extensive knowledge and experience working with closely-held,  private equity-owned, and publicly-held businesses with matters involving financial reporting, financial disclosures, general financial reporting issues, adoption of complex accounting standards, reverse mergers, SEC comment letters, SEC comfort letters, S-1 registration statements, employee benefit plan audits and financial statement preparation.

Robert also serves on the Audit Committee of the Eastport South Manor Central School District.  He resides in Manorville, New York, with his wife, Lauren, and their dog Ripley.
