At DDI’s Adult Day Services Reading Club, the joy of reading together comes alive. Participants eagerly await their turn to bring the words to life, reading sentences, paragraphs, or pages while their peers follow along with anticipation.
Each page turn is an invitation to get lost in a story. And listening to a book? That's just as engaging and a wonderful way to learn and appreciate great writing.
“We have readers who require hand-over-hand assistance and those who sound out words, as well as readers who effortlessly navigate sentences,” said Matthew Nolan, DDI’s Coordinator of Educational Curriculum and Instruction. “They all truly enjoy reading and can't wait for their turn to read out loud!”
DDI’s Adult Day Services Reading Club is a shining example of how reading can build bridges between people, creating a strong sense of community and shared delight. Whether reading aloud or listening, the magic of stories enriches everyone's lives in countless ways.
