Women of Excellence at DDI: Introducing Brianna Rosenberg

At the close of Women’s History Month in March, we decided that because so many talented women are making history right here at DDI every day, we would honor a year-long celebration of Women of Excellence at DDI.

DDI’s Women of Excellence series honors the accomplishments of women who have achieved success at DDI and demonstrated commitment to the mission of our organization.

As people enter the Smithtown Campus at Hollywood Drive, they are cheerfully greeted by Human Resources Assistant, Brianna Rosenberg. Brianna has been with DDI since November 2021 and takes great pride in her work.

She was drawn to the agency because of its powerful mission and drive to help children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities experience personal growth and fulfillment.

One of her roles is to provide building and front desk reception services, to include following all front desk protocols and security procedures. Her tasks often happen concurrently, requiring a balance of professionalism, kindness and efficiency.

In addition to her role at the front desk, Brianna provides a great deal of administrative support in the Human Resources Department, which includes new employee onboarding, staff inquiries and requests for information as well as employee database management.

Previously, Brianna worked in the retail sector and in doctors’ offices. These were fast-paced environments where she interfaced with many different people – preparing her well for her current role. She has a passion for working with people and enjoys the versatility of working a shift at the front desk and then in the Human Resources office.

Brianna says that her experience at DDI has been very positive and interesting. “I have learned a lot about many people and programs throughout the agency. I really like being up front in reception.” She also likes what the agency stands for and how everyone works as a team for the good of others.

When Brianna is not at work, she enjoys writing poetry and spending time with her two rescue dogs, Rosie and Scout. She holds a psychology degree from Queens College.

Brianna demonstrates qualities of excellence by treating everyone with kindness and respect. Brianna says, “Help as many people as you can. You don't know what others are going through.” Her compassion, positivity and commitment to DDI’s mission make her an invaluable member of the team and one of DDI’s Women of Excellence.
