Autism Awareness Day at Citi Field

The group was set to watch the New York Mets take on the Milwaukee Brewers. One of our individuals was so excited to watch his favorite team that he came dressed in his Mets tee-shirt, jacket, and hat—frequently rubbing the Mets emblem to bring the players good luck (which worked because they defeated the Brewers 5 to 2).

This day provided individuals a more sensory-friendly baseball experience, with a Cozy Corner located in the Bullpen Plaza for people in need of a quiet reprieve from the game and lowered volume of the in-game programming in the Bud Light Landing seats. A donation was made to Autism Speaks for every advanced ticket sold for this event.
