To keep with the theme of golf and highlight the talented people supported at DDI, individuals from our Adult Services Program were invited to participate in an original sock design contest with the winner’s design to be produced by John’s Crazy Socks.
Nineteen inspiring entries were received, and it was evident that much thought and skill went into each design.
The judges, Ian B., DDI’s Adult Day Services Program; Julie Scully, DDI’s Golf Classic Committee; and Ron Rugolo, DDI’s Fundraising Committee, happily convened to place their votes for the winning sock.
After much deliberation, Marianne L. was announced the winner. She received a $50 gift certificate and a pair of her now-famous socks.
This sock design will be available for purchase on the John’s Crazy Socks website, and $1 per pair will be donated to DDI.
This contest not only provides a one-of-a-kind gift for our 2019 Annual Golf Classic participants but also showcases the imaginative adults we support.
