DDI Welcomes New Board Members

 

Adam Guttell

Adam Guttell is a Principal in the Long Island, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. His practice focuses on representing employers in workplace law matters, including preventive advice and counseling. Mr. Guttell advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters, including those involving discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. He also advises and trains managers and supervisors on preventive litigation practices, focusing on how to comply with applicable laws and regulations, avoid workplace disputes, resolve employee relations problems, and satisfy legitimate employee expectations. During law school, Mr. Guttell was the Chief Justice of the Moot Court Honor Society.

Kevin Long of East Setauket joined DDI’s Board of Directors in May 2008 and was recently reappointed. He is the Senior Organizational and Executive Communications Strategist at Green Room Communications where he advises Fortune 500 organizations on the effective use of communications to educate, energize and excite employees on how they contribute to their organization’s success. Previously, Kevin held senior communications and HR positions at Accenture and CA Technologies. He formerly served as chairs of DDI’s Human Resource Committee and the DDI Foundation Board of Directors. Kevin has a son who previously attended DDI’s education programs. Kevin lives with his wife, son and two daughters in East Setauket.

Dr. Cynthia Rosenthal of Northport is an attending physician in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, New York. Dr. Rosenthal graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990. She completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in pediatric critical care at Schneider Children’s Hospital (now Cohen’s).  Dr. Rosenthal joined Good Samaritan Hospital’s PICU team in 1998. She has been the associate program director for the pediatric residency program since 2002. Also, she participates in the medically complex children’s program at Good Samaritan Hospital- Pediatric Specialty Center in the capacity of the program director.
