Edward Lewis - DDI Employee of the Month

Join us in congratulating Edward Lewis – Employee of the Month winner for the Children’s Day Program in Huntington. A devoted DDI team member for over 22 years, Ed currently serves as a Transition Specialist, and his passion for teaching and innovation shines every day.

Ed truly embodies DDI’s core values of integrity, dignity, compassion, and teamwork. Whether he’s supporting students or uplifting staff, Ed leads with heart and creativity. One shining example: he helped a student master the drink cart by designing custom visuals and updating their communication device—empowering that student to later become Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year, a recognition program Ed developed.

His imagination doesn’t stop there. Ed also launched a student-run coffee program for staff, turning everyday routines into meaningful learning opportunities. He is a role model in every sense—proving that with care and creativity, there are always new possibilities to explore.
